PROCESS VALUE COMPARISON

End-of-life tires are decomposed by pyrolysis to recover some of the components, including solid pyrolisys residue (pyrocarbon), steel and furnace oil. The pyrocarbon can then be used in the manufacturing of rubber applications and black pigment.
The Black Pearl original patented technology combines the entire technological sequence of processing and modes with specially developed additives and reagents. Besides, the technology is cost-effective by using predominantly standard market-available equipment. However, only the minor part requires Black Pearl's original modifications.
As a result, the technology allows tires manufacturers to replace standard grades of virgin carbon black with rCB obtained in the Black Pearl process (BPrCB) without changing the recipes used.
There are two options depending on the local market demand and regulations:
-
directly obtained power can be delivered to the customers as electric power or heat (steam).
-
to deliver pyrolysis oil (pOil.) - a valuable product blended with diesel and used as a fossil-fuel substitute for motor vehicles, diesel burners, generators, engineering machinery, etc.

BPrCB COMPETITIVE COMPARISON
Black Pearl’s rCB (BPrCB) is produced through a vigorous multi-stage pyrolysis process that preserves Carbon Black's fundamental properties like surface area, enabling BPrCB to replace or supplement traditional carbon blacks used in rubber products. BPrCB behaves similarly to virgin carbon blacks in natural and synthetic rubber compounds and retains the performance properties required in tires manufacturing and other rubber applications.BPrCB
BPrCB TYRE APPLICATIONS

In the tyre carcass, sidewall, and sealed layer of various types of tyres, BPrCB can replace up to 100% of N660 Carbon Black and more than 50% of N550 Carbon Black, providing comparable hardness and a unique balance of mechanical and dynamic reinforcing characteristics. However, only these grades have more than a 30% share in the total world production of Carbon Black.
In addition, rubbers with BPrCB have lower hysteresis losses, making it possible to use them in the undertreat layers of industrial tyres (instead of carbon black N326, which is close in terms of physicochemical parameters.)
BPrCB is a reliable choice as it fully meets the requirements for rCB products set by ASTM D8178. This compliance ensures that the quality and performance of BPrCB are consistent and dependable, making it a safe and effective option for tire manufacturing
BPrCB TYRE MANUFACTURERS TESTS

Manufacturing and marketing of Agricultural, Forestry, Construction, Industrial and OTR tires in Israel.
BPrCB replaces 100% of the N660 carbon black in the standard rubber based on SBR-1502 and in the rubber of the agricultural tire carcass (code FB-6313R). Rubber with N660 carbon black was taken as a reference. The test shows the statistically identical rheological properties of raw rubbers and vulcanizates' physical and mechanical properties.

Leading international manufacturer and supplier of rubber products to defense forces worldwide, including the US Army, NATO and IDF.
Replacing 100% standard carbon blacks with BPrCB in weatherproof rubbers based on ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDR) and oil resistant rubbers based on nitrile rubber (SRN) allows obtaining products with a similar level of physical and mechanical indicators, including characteristics of weather resistance and oil resistance.

The only manufacturer of tires in Ukraine: more than 6 million tires a year, 30% of Ukraine's tire market, 70% of sales – export deliveries.
Replacing 50% of standard N550 carbon black with BPrCB shows the comparative physical and mechanical properties of raw rubber compounds for carcasses of passenger car tires.

One of the biggest agricultural, industrial, off-road, commercial and truck tires manufacturers in Russia
BPrCB replaces 50% of the standard N550 carbon Black in the rubber of the sealed layer, sidewall, and carcass of agricultural tires. The test shows the almost identical rheological properties of raw rubber compounds and vulcanized rubbers' physical and mechanical properties.

BUSINESS CONCEPT
Black Pearl has developed a technology for recycling end-of-life tires through pyrolysis using its original patented technology. Black Pearl's business concept is developing, constructing, and operating recycling factories internationally through shared ownership or licensing. Meantime, the company plans to run its own full-scale factory in Israel, also serving as a demonstration and test facility.
MISSION
Black Pearl believes in infrastructure for a cleaner world. We view the waste tires problem as a severe environmental threat but consider it an opportunity to offer our circular economy model to the industry. We recycle end-of-life tires into high-quality and sustainable Carbon Black products.
STRUCTURE
The company structure should reflect the vast growth potential. Licensing and overseas business models may request a "parent" holding company enjoying benefits by some jurisdictions with special taxation. The final structure will be developed with tax and legal advisories and partners.

THE PILOT FACTORY (IL)
Israel is a mid-sized wealthy country with a big car market and well-developed ELT tires collection. In addition, an established supply chain and government support programs, including decreased taxation, make it an attractive location for pilot factory accommodation
LICENCING AND OVERSEAS ACTIVITY
Company overseas activity may require establishing a separate holding company that can benefit from specific tax regulations. For example, the Cyprus taxation system granted a special 2,5% tax if a company is qualified for the so-called IP-box regime. Moreover, there is no tax on dividends sourced from abroad. Other Cyprus jurisdiction advantages are EU membership, British law, English-speaking country, logistics, and tailored shipping solutions. Anyway, the structure will need a more detailed study with international tax advisors and lawyers to find the optimal solution and exclude sudden risks in the current volatile world.
STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION
Black Pearl's business model is primarily based on full or partial ownership of recycling factorys or our patented technology license transfer. Because of this operational model, Black Pearl can control the factorys' operation and ensure the quality of the final products. Today, the price for the type of Carbon Black by Black Pearl is so high that a full-scale factory with an annual recycling capacity of 15-17,000 MT of ELT is estimated to achieve an EBITDA margin of approximately 30% (up to 40% with supplement products.) Moreover, there are no indications that the demand or prices for these materials will diminish going forward. So naturally, Black Pearl prefers to own the recycling factorys based on the company's technology when these are expected to demonstrate such favorable earnings capacity.
We plan to increase the capacity of the Israeli factory to 30,000 tonnes of shredded ELT in 2028. The factory we consider as a platform for international expansion. Our goal is to establish a decade plan with approximately 25 new factories from 2028. Europe and Canada are considered as priority markets.
MODULE BASED FACTORIES
The Black Pearl pyrolysis process is designed by verified modules, benefits from tailored solutions for each case. Each module has a capacity of 12,000 or 17,000 tonnes of tires per year. A standard-design factory comprises an annual recycling capacity of 35,000 tonnes of tires.
Unlike the core product - recycled Black Carbon, the secondary product one can tune to choose electrical energy, pyrolysis oil, steam (for heating purposes) in dependence on maximum profitability of individual case study. The estimated factory construction time is approximately 18 - 20 months.
